Your Clariva subscription unlocks all four paid workspaces — Pre-Proposal, Pre-Award, Award Processing, and Post-Award (Grant Finding is free at every tier) — and includes a complimentary AI Services bundle to get you started, plus secure Managed Data capacity (GB), both at no extra cost.
Use what you need. Add more when you need it. For example:
AI Services Credits — New signups get a one-time complimentary bundle (not a monthly refill) to try Clariva's AI features. If an AI action costs 1,000 credits ($10), Clariva shows the cost before you approve it. Once your bundle's used, buy more AI Credits any time — no surprise charges.
Managed Data — Your plan includes a base amount of secure capacity for proposals, award records, supporting documents, and generated work. Need more room? Add more GB without changing plans.
User Seats — Your plan includes a set number of users. Growing your team? Add Additional Seats (Small/Medium/Large plans) at a per-seat price while keeping your current plan.
Run out of AI Credits? You won't lose access. Your subscription, existing work, and Managed Data remain fully available even at a $0 AI Services balance.

What does my subscription actually include?
Your subscription is your platform access fee. It unlocks all four paid workspaces — Pre-Proposal, Pre-Award, Award Processing, and Post-Award (Grant Finding is free at every tier, capped at 5 searches/month on Starter) — plus a base amount of Managed Data, both at no extra cost. AI-generated outputs (proposals, analyses, scoring, and more) are a separate, on-demand purchase.
What's the difference between platform access and AI services?
Platform access (your subscription) gets you into the product and its workspaces. AI services are the actual generated deliverables — a proposal draft, a grant opportunity analysis, a budget, a scored review. Every new signup gets a complimentary AI services allowance to try these; beyond that, each is purchased individually with the price shown up front.
What happens when my complimentary allowance runs out?
It's a one-time onboarding bundle valid for 90 days from signup — not a monthly refill. Once it's used or expires, you can still generate anything you want; you'll just see a price before you do, and pay only for what you choose to generate. Running your balance to $0 never locks you out of your subscription or your data — see the Zero-Credit Promise above.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Starter plan lets you search and browse grant opportunities at no cost, up to 5 searches per month. Upgrading to Professional or above unlocks proposal development, award management, unlimited searching, and your complimentary AI services allowance.
What is Managed Data?
It's protected capacity for your solicitations, proposals, awards, and generated documents — not commodity cloud disk space. It includes the security, access controls, and resilience needed for sensitive grant data. Each plan includes a base amount at no cost, and you can add more as an optional, separately-billed add-on.
What happened to the old plan names (Free/Team/Organization)?
They're renamed for clarity, nothing else changed: Free is now Starter, Team is now Small, and Organization is now Medium. Professional and Enterprise keep their names. If you're already subscribed, your price and everything included stays exactly the same — only the label changed.
Can I add more users than my plan includes?
Yes, on Small, Medium, and Large — add seats any time from your Organization settings at $25, $20, and $15 per seat/month respectively. Professional is single-user by design; Enterprise seats are part of your custom quote.
Can I buy AI services without a subscription?
Yes, for select services — pay-as-you-go pricing is available at a premium over the subscriber price, shown inside the platform before you generate. A subscription is required for full workspace access, collaboration, and the complimentary onboarding allowance.
Can my team share one payment instead of paying individually?
Yes — the AI Services Fund above is exactly that: one deposit, from any authorized org member, funds a shared balance every authorized user in your organization can draw from. $1 deposited equals $1 of purchasing power, and the same services cost the same whether paid individually or from the shared fund. Enterprise customers can also set up an annual purchase order covering subscription, services, and capacity in one purchase — contact sales to arrange that.
Can I switch plans?
Yes — upgrade or downgrade any time. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle.
Is checkout secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe (with Square available as an alternative) — both PCI-compliant payment platforms. We never store your card details.
